The Electric Vehicle Mileage Extender (EVME) was developed to extend the range of electric
vehicles (EV’s) before needing to stop and recharge the batteries. EV’s on the market today
only have a range of just over 300-miles before needing to stop and recharge, which is the
primary reason why most consumers are reluctant to purchase an EV. The EVME is an inline rectangular unit comprised of 3-primary wind sections: the funnel, turbine and exhaust,
and is installed under the EV’s front hood. In succession, the telescopic wind funnel is
attached to the front grill, then the wind-turbine, and lastly the unit’s flexible turbine exhaust
section (which is slightly larger in cubic inches than the wind-turbine section). EVME’s windturbine is connected to an external generator, and an electric motor powered by one-set of
batteries, while the other set of batteries is being charged and controlled by a dashboard
control panel.
